The majority of my ringing 'performances' have been at the quarter peal length. A quarter Peal, at roughly 1260 changes, takes about 45-50 minutes to ring and is thus suitable prior to church services. It's also a pleasant length to ring as the band generally settles to its best standard when allowed to ring for more than a few minutes, but at the same time, the interest is generally maintained and ringers generally don't tend to drift off and lose concentration.
Most of the records are hosted on the Ringing World's Bell Board.
I am aware that there may still be a number of quarter peals missing from my records. Unfortunately whilst many ringers keep details records of the full peals they have rung, the same is not for quarters. Indeed for a full peal to be official it must be published in the Ringing World, but not so for quarter peals.
*** NEWSFLASH ***
I was looking for some old photos in my back-ups and discovered a missing link in my website history. This missing version has my first couple of years of quarter peal ringing! So once I've synchronised the lists the table here should be complete! A copy of the 2006 data has been imported as-is and can be found here.
In more recent years and increasing use of the internet, quarter peal records have been made on various electronic forums, most recently the Ringing World's own Bellboard.
